DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The ECWA Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (EDICT) was established to coordinate, regulate, and manage all ICT activities within ECWA. It drives digital transformation, improves efficiency in missions and administration, and positions ECWA as a pioneer in the use of ICT for evangelism and socio-economic development.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Directorate’s mission is to provide innovative, qualitative, effective, and efficient ICT solutions and services that propel missions, evangelism, and the business aspirations of ECWA.
WHAT WE DO...
Strategic ICT Leadership and Coordination
Provide overall leadership in ICT planning, policy development, and implementation across ECWA. Harmonize ICT activities in DCCs, departments, institutions, and companies. Ensure that ICT deployment aligns with ECWA’s mission and strategic goals.
ICT Infrastructure Development and Management
Develop and manage ECWA’s core ICT infrastructure, including the ECWA Wide Area Network (E-WAN), internet connectivity, and data centers. Ensure consistent network availability, security, and reliability across all ECWA entities.
Web Design and Digital Services Management
Manage and maintain ECWA’s official websites, portals, and online platforms. Develop integrated systems for online administration, membership services, e-giving, and evangelism. Oversee digital branding and online visibility of ECWA departments and ministries.
Management Information Systems (MIS)
Design and maintain centralized databases for staff, membership, and institutions. Enable secure data sharing and document management across departments. Support evidence-based decision-making through accurate data reporting and analytics.
Network Administration and Technical Support
Oversee network configuration, maintenance, and cybersecurity systems. Provide IT support and troubleshooting for ECWA offices, departments, and mission stations. Ensure the availability and protection of ECWA’s digital assets.
ICT Training and Capacity Building
Conduct digital literacy and ICT training for ECWA staff and pastors. Partner with ECWA International College of Technology (EICT) to develop specialized ICT programs. Organize annual ICT conferences and workshops to foster innovation and collaboration.
Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and Policy Enforcement
Develop and enforce ICT security policies and data protection standards. Establish a Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) for cybersecurity threats. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and international ICT best practices.
